Mother's Day Makeover Program The Mother's Day Makeover Program is an evangelistic outreach to women residing in shelters. Annually, Women On The Move seeks the support of businesses and salons to sponsor makeovers for women in shelters during the week of Mother's Day. The purpose of this program is to encourage women as they work to rebuild their lives. It is my firm belief that, "How women feel about themselves is directly connected to what they will do with themselves." The stylists who provide the makeovers view pampering these women as a ministry, often sharing God's word to help bring out their inner-beauty while they work on enhancing their outer-beauty. The women were brought to tears as they were presented with gifts donated by women and businesses at our Mother's Day brunch. The Mother's Day Makeover Program has received extensive media attention. Talk radio WHP 580-AM conducted live radio interviews of the makeovers while Lancaster's WGAL and Harrisburg's WHP television stations have interviewed our makeover participants and highlighted our program for several consecutive years. Our ultimate goal is to spread this annual event all over the country.
