Lisa Dees, Founder and President
A native of New Jersey, Lisa Dees received her Bachelors of Science from
Seton Hall University, and her Juris Doctor from Dickinson School of
Law. Lisa is an attorney with the Department of Public Welfare’s
Office of General Counsel in Harrisburg, PA.
She is president of Women On The Move, Inc., a non-profit
organization developed to teach women to utilize their God-given talents
and abilities to overcome obstacles and achieve their goals despite
challenges. She is the author/editor of Living In
Him, a bi-weekly
Internet women’s devotional designed to encourage and inspire
women through sharing the Holy Bible. She is the creator/director of Moments Of Praise,
the radio ministry of Women on the Move
heard on local Harrisburg stations each Monday morning at 9:15a.m.on The
Fortess and at 11:30 a.m. on The Rock. Lisa also founded the
Mother’s Day Makeover Program, by which women housed in local shelters
receive free makeovers sponsored by hairstylists and manicurists
during the week of Mother’s Day. In addition, gifts are donated to the
women through department stores, local salons, and other
businesses. Lisa’s idea behind these makeovers is, “How women
feel about themselves is directly connected to what they will do with
themselves.” Lisa is also a teacher of God’s word who utilizes Godly
principles to strengthen women to mature into the women God has made
them to be. Lisa enjoys writing poetry and songs, singing,
in-line skating and relaxing with her husband and two children. |
